HB 1635 -- CONVEYANCE IN JACKSON COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Salva

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Local Government by a vote of 17 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey Highlands I located
in Jackson County by public sale.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and
FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the building is vacant, costs
money to maintain, and is no longer needed by the state.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Salva.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
