HB 1070 -- School Emergency Preparedness Plans

Sponsor:  Miller

This bill gives authority to school districts to adopt emergency
preparedness plans for use of school resources during natural
disasters or other community emergencies.  Resources may include
food assistance through use of federal commodity foods and use of
school buildings and buses.  Use of resources under an emergency
plan is subject to review by the local board of education within
30 days of authorization or as soon as reasonably possible.
