HB 1255 -- Emancipation Day Commission

Sponsor:  Bland

This bill creates an Emancipation Day Commission within the
Office of the Governor.  The Governor may assign this commission
to any executive agency by executive order.  The commission will
consist of 19 members appointed by the Governor and will meet as
necessary to recommend appropriate activities for the recognition
and celebration of Emancipation Day.
