HB 1533 -- Logging Industry Licensing Board

This bill contains provisions regarding the licensing of logging
entities.  The bill:

(1)  Creates within the Division of Professional Registration the
Missouri Logging Industry Licensing Board;

(2)  Provides for the appointment, terms, powers, and duties of
the board;

(3)  Creates the Missouri Logging Industry Licensing Board Fund
in the state treasury;

(4)  Establishes standards for the licensing of logger
contractors;

(5)  Requires licensees to be bonded and insured and to maintain
continuing education requirements established by the board;

(6)  Contains provisions regarding license renewal and inactive
licenses; and

(7)  Authorizes the board to refuse to issue, suspend, revoke,
and deny licenses and cause complaints to be filed with the
Administrative Hearing Commission for reasons contained in the
bill.

The bill contains penalty provisions.
