HB 1539 -- Qualifications of Candidates

Sponsor:  Dixon

This bill prohibits a person from being certified as a candidate
for election to any state or local office or their name appearing
on a ballot for any election if the candidate has been convicted
of, pleads guilty to, or plead nolo contendere to a felony.  This
restriction will not apply to any person pardoned by the Governor
or the President of the United States.
