HB 1542 -- Wrongful Imprisonment

This bill provides a cause of action for persons having been
wrongfully imprisoned.  A convicted person found to be innocent
through means of DNA testing will be entitled to receive
compensation for economic and non-economic injuries from the
state.

The bill contains penalty provisions.
