HB 842 -- Licensing of Electricians and Plumbers

This bill allows municipalities in counties of the third
classification to license persons who perform electrical and
plumbing work and to charge a fee for the licenses.  The
municipality may require the person who performs electrical work
to pass an electrical work examination.  The bill excludes
electricians working for any utility or railroad from the
licensing requirements.  Electricians and plumbers who are
employed full-time by an employer to do maintenance for the
employer are also excluded.
