HS HCS HJR 39, 38, 42 & 47 -- SAME-SEX MARRIAGES (Engler)

This proposed constitutional amendment establishes that marriage
in this state will only consist of the union between a man and a
woman.  Public acts, records, or judicial proceedings of other
states, territories or possessions of the United States, Indian
tribes, or foreign nations relating to a relationship that is
treated as a marriage, other than the union of one man and one
woman, will not be recognized in Missouri.  Any rights or claims
arising from those relationships will also not be recognized.

FISCAL NOTE:  Estimated Cost on General Revenue Fund of $36,840
in FY 2005, $0 in FY 2006, and $0 in FY 2007.  No impact on Other
State Funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and FY 2007.
