HB 375 -- BRIDGE DESIGNATION

SPONSOR:  Nance

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 13 to 1.

This bill designates the bridge on State Highway 13 over the
Missouri River between Lafayette and Ray counties as "The
Congressman Ike Skelton Bridge."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2006, FY 2007, and
FY 2008.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this designation will be fitting
for such a dedicated public servant.

Testifying for the bill were Representatives Nance and Aull; City
of Lexington; and Lafayette County.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
