HB 175 -- Practice of Medicine

This bill allows licensed health care practitioners to perform
surgery using lasers, pulsed light, radio frequency, or medical
microwave devices within their scope of practice and consistent
with their training and education.  A physician is allowed to
delegate a procedure involving these devices to another person
who is not a licensed physician but has the appropriate training
to use the device.  A person who uses lasers, pulsed light, radio
frequency, or medical microwave devices and who is not a licensed
physician must have appropriate documented training and education
in the use of the device, be a licensed medical professional, and
perform the procedure under the supervision of a licensed
physician.
