HB 278 -- Mental Health Facilities Sponsor: Walsh Prior to the closure or downsizing of any state facility operated by the Department of Mental Health, this bill requires the Director of the Department of Mental Health to submit a cost-benefit analysis and a written plan concerning the closure or downsizing. The analysis and plan must be submitted to the House of Representatives and Senate appropriations committees concerning mental health for their consideration. The bill also specifies that employees of privately funded mental health facilities are considered mandated reporters for the purpose of reporting allegations of abuse or neglect of patients, residents, or clients of a mental health facility, program, or service.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
