HB 522 -- Veterans Day

This bill allows any veteran to request not to work on Veterans
Day and requires the employer to grant the request as long as the
employee submits proof at least 30 days in advance that he or she
is a veteran along with a written request for the day off.

In succeeding years, the veteran must submit a written request to
the employer at least 30 days in advance if he or she wishes to
take off on that day.  An employer cannot take any punitive
action against a veteran who exercises this right.
