HB 757 -- Law Enforcement Safety Fund Sponsor: Rupp This bill creates the Law Enforcement Safety Fund, a retirement benefit program for police officers. The fund will receive a $7 surcharge on municipal criminal cases and may receive grants and donations from public and private sources. A seven-person board consisting of three police chiefs, three police officers, and a member of the General Assembly will oversee the fund. The fund will pay monthly stipends to retired police officers meeting certain requirements and $10,000 to a designated beneficiary when a police officer is killed in the line of duty.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
