HB 770 -- Medical and Laboratory Test Results

This bill gives a patient or designated representative the right
to receive a copy of any medical or laboratory tests ordered or
authorized by a health care provider.  A health care provider
must, within five business days of the receipt of test results,
forward a copy to the patient.

Every patient may complete a form to request the release of
current and future medical and laboratory test results or waive
the receipt of test results for a specific medical or laboratory
test ordered or authorized.

The State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts in the
Department of Economic Development will develop rules to
implement the provisions of the bill.
