Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 77 -- Private Employer Use of State Funds

Sponsor: Bland

This bill prohibits a private employer that receives state funds
in excess of $10,000 in any calender year for its participation
in a state program from using the funds to assist, promote, or
deter union organizing. The employer is required to keep certain
records and make them available, upon request, to the Director of
the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.

The director may bring a civil action for injunctive relief,
damages, civil penalties, and other appropriate relief against an
employer in violation of the bill.
