HB 904 -- Forfeiture of Personal Property of Offenders Sponsor: Robinson This bill specifies that the personal property of offenders who have escaped or absconded from the supervision of the Department of Corrections will be considered abandoned and be forfeited. Any moneys or proceeds from the sale of forfeited property will be used to pay certain obligations of the offender, including victim restitution, child support, court-ordered obligations, and incarceration costs. Any remaining moneys will be deposited into the Unclaimed Property Fund in the state treasury.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
