AN ACT
To repeal section 301.700, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to all-terrain vehicles.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Section 301.700, RSMo, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 301.700, to read as follows:
301.700. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 144.010, RSMo, and any other law, new and used all-terrain vehicles purchased from dealers or private individuals shall be treated in the same manner as motor vehicles, pursuant to this chapter, for the purposes of transfer, titling, perfection of liens and encumbrances, and the collection of all taxes, fees and other charges, regardless of the purchase price. Funds collected by the department of revenue pursuant to sections 301.700 to 301.714 shall be deposited by the director in the state treasury to the credit of the general revenue fund.
