AN ACT

To amend chapter 195, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to distribution of a controlled substance near a park, with a penalty provision.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 195, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 195.216, to read as follows:

            195.216. 1. A person commits the offense of distribution of a controlled substance near a park if such person violates section 195.211 by unlawfully distributing or delivering any controlled substance to a person in or on, or within one thousand feet of, the real property comprising a public or private park, state park, county park, or municipal park.

            2. Distribution of a controlled substance near a park is a class A felony.
