AN ACT

To amend chapter 227, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the designation of a memorial highway.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 227, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 227.374, to read as follows:

            227.374. The portion of highway 71 in Newton County from Iris Road to highway 86 shall be designated the "James W. Minton, Jr. Memorial Highway". The department of transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs commemorating this portion of highway. Costs for such designation shall be paid for by the family of James W. Minton, Jr.
