SB 1034 - This act modifies the definition of the practice of professional counseling and creates new definitions for "assessment", "consulting", "counseling treatment interventions", "diagnosis", "referral", and "research". The practice of professional counseling shall include certain types of individual, family and marriage counseling and psychotherapy, assessment, crisis intervention, diagnosis of persons with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders, consulting, research and referral. This act is similar to SB 535 (2003), and identical to SB 403 (2005). CHRIS HOGERTY
