SB 1211 - This act allows any private not-for-profit college or university authorized to do business in this state to appoint and employ as many college or university police officers as it may deem necessary.

The officers are empowered with the same authority to maintain order, preserve peace, and make arrests as is given to peace officers. Such college police officers shall, before appointment, or within six months after appointment, be certified peace officers under Chapter 590, RSMo.
