HB 1084 -- Child Care Providers Sponsor: Pollock This bill requires in-home child care providers who are exempt from licensure requirements to furnish the parents or legal guardians of any child receiving services a background check of every person in the home older than 17 years of age. A background check must be conducted prior to the initial provision of child care services and every two years thereafter and must include a screening for child abuse or neglect and a criminal record review. Child care providers are required to notify the Department of Health and Senior Services that they have complied with the background check requirements.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
