HB 1213 -- Employment Workweeks

Sponsor:  Baker (25)

This bill prohibits an employer from requiring an employee to
work seven days a week unless:

(1)  The employer gives the employee the option of working seven
days a week and the employee agrees in writing; or

(2)  The employment is of a type that necessitates a seven-day
workweek.

An employer may not use any threat of dismissal; discipline; or
change in hours, pay, or working conditions to force an employee
to work a seven-day workweek.
