HB 1217 -- Payment of Costs for Prosecution of Criminal Offenses

This bill authorizes a judge to order a defendant who has pled
guilty to or been found guilty of a felony offense to pay
expenses related to the cost of the prosecution.  Any defendant
who fails to pay the court-ordered reimbursement may not have his
or her probation revoked without a finding, supported by a
preponderance of the evidence, that the defendant willfully or
intentionally refused to make payment.
