HB 1282 -- Public Counsel of the Department of Economic
Development

Sponsor:  Burnett

This bill allows the Attorney General, instead of the Director of
the Department of Economic Development, to appoint the public
counsel for the department.  The public counsel is authorized to
prevent rate increases from taking effect while in the appeal
process.
