HB 1285 -- Employment Security Debt Offsets

This bill authorizes the Division of Employment Security to
utilize the services of a collection agency to collect any debt
owed and enforceable under the Missouri employment security law.

The division is required to recover overpayments of benefits
through billings, offsets against state and federal income tax
refunds, and intercepts of lottery winnings.

The bill becomes effective October 1, 2006.
