HB 1563 -- Income Tax Exemption for Military Pensions

Beginning January 1, 2007, this bill authorizes an income tax
exemption for retirement benefits received by a member of the
military or his or her spouse if the following requirements are
met:

(1)  The retirement benefits are received from a source located
outside Missouri;

(2)  The military member or his or her spouse is stationed in
Missouri; and

(3)  The military member's primary residence as listed on his or
her leave and earnings statement is in another state.

The provision does not include any member of the reserves or the
Missouri National Guard.
