HB 1582 -- School District Operational Expenditures

Sponsor:  Muschany

Subject to a referendum, this bill adopts a goal of spending
two-thirds of each school district's operational funding, as
defined in the bill, on classroom instruction which includes
library and guidance services.  A district's percentage will be
published each year in its accountability report card, and each
district meeting the goal will be recognized as a "Governor's
'Students First' District."
