HB 1889 -- Salvage Vehicles

This bill specifies that damage as a result of hail or a
windstorm will not be included in the total cost of rebuilding or
reconstructing a vehicle for the purpose of determining whether a
vehicle is a salvage vehicle.

The 30-day notification requirement to the Department of Revenue
upon the transfer of ownership of a vehicle will not apply to the
transfer of a motor vehicle or trailer to an insurance company
due to a theft or casualty loss.
