HB 2085 -- Governmental Audits

This bill establishes the Missouri Governmental Accountability
Office which will be overseen by the State Auditor and will have
the following responsibilities:

(1)  Determining whether fiscal notes were accurate by comparing
the fiscal note estimates with actual outcomes;

(2)  Determining whether funding was appropriated properly; and

(3)  Reporting the actual year-end expenditures, revenue, and
disbursements of the state.

The findings of the office will be public record and must be
reported to the General Assembly and the Governor.
