AN ACT

To amend chapter 302, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to license plates, with a penalty provision.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 302, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 302.223, to read as follows:

            302.223. Any person who displays or permits to be displayed, or has in such person's possession any license plate or plates, temporary license plate, or renewal tab or tabs that are fictitious or altered, or who displays or represents as one's own any license plate or plates, temporary license plate, or renewal tab or tabs not issued by the department of revenue or another state's equivalent agency with similar powers is guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
