AN ACT

To amend chapter 290, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the prevailing wage.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 290, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 290.235, to read as follows:

            290.235. Any public entity, as defined in section 107.170, RSMo, in any county of the third classification may by a majority vote of the governing body opt out of the prevailing wage requirements under this chapter, provided the total project cost is seven hundred fifty thousand dollars or less.
