To amend chapter 139, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to property tax assessments.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 139, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 139.032, to read as follows:
139.032. In any county with a charter form of government and with more than one million inhabitants, no taxpayer who protests the current real or personal property taxes assessed against the taxpayer shall be required to pay any current real or personal property tax in an amount more than the amount assessed in the assessment cycle immediately preceding the assessment giving rise to the taxpayer’s protest until a final determination has been rendered on the taxpayer’s protest.
