HB 56 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

SPONSOR:  Sater

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 10 to 0.

This bill designates the portion of State Highway 112 from the
intersection of State Highway 76 south to the intersection of
State Highway AA in Barry County as the "Deputy Christopher Lee
Castetter Memorial Highway."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2008, FY 2009, and
FY 2010.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will be a fitting
tribute for someone who gave his life to protect our safety.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Sater.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
