HB 1037 -- Health Screenings for Public School Students

Beginning in school year 2008-2009, this bill requires public
school students enrolled in the second and eighth grades to
provide proof that they have received a complete physical
examination within the past 12 months.  The bill specifies the
criteria for the examination and requires the Department of
Health to develop a standardized form.  Students whose parents
submit written statements in certain circumstances may be exempt
from the bill.
