HB 1101 -- Internet Use in Public Schools

This bill establishes the Child Internet Protection Act which
requires school districts to file Internet use policies with the
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education beginning with
the 2008-2009 school year.  The bill specifies the required
components of the policy including measures to prevent sending,
receiving, viewing, or downloading illegal material and
instruction on Internet safety at all grade levels.  The
department must issue guidelines on Internet safety which
districts must incorporate into their curricula.
