HB 1206 -- School Funding

This bill revises the method for calculating the state adequacy
target in the school foundation formula.  For Fiscal Year 2009
and thereafter, the adequacy target will be the greater of the
amount calculated by the existing method or the amount calculated
by multiplying the current adequacy target by one plus the
percentage of growth in the federal Consumer Price Index for the
third and fourth previous fiscal years.

The bill contains an emergency clause.
