HB 414 -- Proof of Lawful Presence

This bill allows a military veteran to submit his or her
certificate of release or discharge from active duty, DD Form
214, noting honorable discharge, instead of submitting a birth
certificate as proof of lawful presence for the purpose of
obtaining a driver's or nondriver's license.  If federal law or
regulation prohibits this exemption or results in the loss of
federal funds, the Director of the Department of Revenue must
apply for a federal waiver to allow the use of the form.
