HB 507 -- Operation of Motor Vehicles

Sponsor:  Sutherland

Currently, any person who does not operate a motor vehicle in
this state in a careful and prudent manner is guilty of a class B
misdemeanor.  If an accident occurs, the person is guilty of a
class A misdemeanor.  This bill specifies that if a death results
from the accident, the person will be guilty of a class D felony.
