HB 51 -- Orders of Protection

Sponsor:  Sater

This bill changes the laws regarding orders of protection by
making renewals valid from the expiration date of the immediately
preceding issued full order of protection.  The bill also allows
the court to renew a full order of protection without limit.
Currently, the court is allowed to issue a full order of
protection and, upon a hearing with good cause, renew it twice.
