HB 540 -- Ethics

This bill prohibits public officials who are appointed by the
Governor from holding office in, or making donations to,
political parties or political organizations.  These appointees
also cannot participate in political campaigns.

When the Senate is notified of an appointment, a list will
accompany the notice showing the candidate's contributions to
political campaigns during the previous two years.
