HB 674 -- Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems

This bill requires the Department of Public Safety to establish
rules requiring every residential care facility, assisted living
facility, and skilled nursing facility to have a fire protection
sprinkler system.  Each system must be designed, installed,
tested, repaired, and maintained in accordance with fire
protection industry standards.

The department may also establish rules that require state-owned
and -occupied offices or facilities to have a fire protection
sprinkler system designed, installed, tested, repaired, and
maintained in accordance with fire protection industry standards.
