HB 770 -- Medical Examination of Prisoners Sponsor: Cox This bill specifies that sheriffs and jailers are not required to take custody of a prisoner from an arresting officer until that prisoner has been examined by a physician or medical personnel if he or she appears to be unconscious, suffering from a serious illness or injury, or is seriously impaired by drugs or alcohol.
