HB 863 -- Initiative Petition Circulators

Sponsor:  Dempsey

This bill prohibits petition circulators from receiving
compensation for collecting signatures for initiative petitions.
The penalty for any violation of the bill will be more strict
than a general class A misdemeanor election offense and will
result in a fine of up to $10,000, up to one year in the county
jail, or both.
