HB 894 -- Primary Elections for Independent Candidates

Sponsor:  Hoskins

Beginning January 1, 2008, this bill requires that independent
candidates appear on primary ballots in order to be eligible for
placement on the general election ballot.  Independent candidates
must file petitions for nomination for placement on official
ballots and the declaration of candidacy forms for primary
elections in the same manner as all other candidates.
