HB 962 -- Concealed Carry Permits

This bill prohibits an individual currently on probation as a
condition of a suspended imposition of sentence or an individual
who has been civilly committed to inpatient mental health
services from receiving a permit to acquire a concealable
firearm. A sheriff is allowed to issue a concealed carry permit
to any person who has fulfilled the terms of a suspended
imposition of sentence that resulted from a guilty plea to a
nonviolent criminal charge which occurred at least 10 years ago.
