HB 971 -- Student Participation in School Clubs

This bill requires school districts to include information about
school clubs and organizations, as specified in the bill, in its
student handbook each year and provide a form that allows parents
to decline permission for his or her child to participate in a
club or organization.  If a club is started during a school year,
written parental permission will be required before a student can
participate.
