AN ACT

To amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to first responders.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 9.133, to read as follows:

            9.133. Upon notification by the director of the department of public safety, that a Missouri firefighter, police officer, or first responder has died in the line of duty, the governor shall issue an executive order requiring the United States flag and the Missouri state flag to be flown at half-staff on all government buildings.
