AN ACT

To amend chapter 407, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to cancellation of online banking services.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 407, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 407.1180, to read as follows:

            407.1180. Any business or company providing online banking services to individuals in this state for a monthly fee shall, in its contract or agreement, provide to the individuals in this state using such services the option to cancel such services by telephone, in writing, or online through such business's or company's Internet web site. As used in this section, "online banking services" includes transactions or payments over the Internet through a business or company using a secure web site.
