HB 1354 -- REGISTRATION EXEMPTION FOR CERTAIN VEHICLES SPONSOR: Wilson (119) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Transportation by a vote of 10 to 0. This bill exempts any self-propelled sprayer, floater, or other form of implement of husbandry used for spraying chemicals or spreading fertilizer for agricultural purposes from the motor vehicle titling, registration, and licensing requirements. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2009, FY 2010, and FY 2011. PROPONENTS: Supporters say the bill allows these fertilizer vehicles to be moved over the roadways from field to field without being registered. Testifying for the bill were Representative Wilson (119); State Highway Patrol; and Missouri Agribusiness Association.
